Discussion Board Guidelines for all Members
- No post shall be allowed that attempts to remove business from The Poetic Link Main Site.
- No post shall be allowed that is tied to the organization of or committing of a criminal offense.
- Your positive contributions here must outweigh your negative contributions here. In corporate speak, your right-hand column must always be heavier then your left-hand column. –Yes this is open ended, but it allows you to vent when necessary. This same requirement would be placed upon you when joining most any club, organization or corporation so please don’t act surprised by this rather “grey” rule as it is found most everywhere in life.
- Everyone here is entitled to their opinion and the free expression of that opinion. If you feel so strongly about something that your opinion comes at the expense of another, just be aware that this will add heavily to your “left-hand column.”
Discussion Board Guidelines for Moderators
- Adhere to all previous guidelines.
- Posts that are in an inappropriate area should be moved to their appropriate area through use of Moderator Tools.
- Posts that are in flagrant violation of Discussion Board Guidelines should be censored or deleted through use of Moderator Tools. If said post is not a clear and flagrant violation, this rule does not apply.
- ALL Questionable Violations should be posted on the Discussion Board Administration Forum for a group decision where action will be taken by a site Administrator. Please let the Admin be the bad guy.
- Announcements, Sticky Posts, Voting and other important information functions are all at your discretion. Please exercise your good judgment along with the freedom to act in this area, to keep things interesting and to keep important information clear for all members. This includes changing normal posts into sticky posts or vise-versa when the situation calls for it.
Discussion Board Guidelines for Administrators
- Adhere to all previous guidelines.
- Make the hard decisions when and where they are called for.
NOTE: These Guidelines may be updated so it is wise to check back each month just to refresh your memory. I will always post a note when they are updated or amended. _________________ Thank You,
-Chris
