Just Thinking

Here along this winding creek I travel back in time to the days of youth with a free spirited mind skipping stones, and dreaming  of what tomorrow may bring will I be a pilot, a doctor or a singer among other things Will I rise above the darkness that the people here pervey in this little village where gossip makes hearts frayed  All I want is to be a friend and be shown kindness in return not to be blamed for what is not their concern give away a hug or handshake and not recieve a beating for my deed know a little peace of mind instead of this sorrow my veins bleed I really want what most do as I walk toward another day again a little understanding can you just be my friend.
