A Riddle of a Gift

What is a gift? It's a simple thing from the heart that truly sings. It could be a hug,a card or  kiss. It's something within that you might miss. Might be a word that's kindly sent  or a flower it's life spent. From a flower seeds can grow. Is that the gift? New life to sow? It might be the birthing of a baby, perhaps the thrill of a maybe. Gifts are given all through the day. Do we see them in a honest way? Do we measure in dollars spent? Or do we feel the goodness sent? Have we become to blind to see what is real in reality? Many times a gift is given that it's intent are strictly hidden,  A stranger smiles in our direction, when they spy sadness in our reflection. A gift was given in empathy but did you truly plainly see? Though things are sad in many forms,a stranger can give hope and life reborn.                  Take each moment as the last,                  give of your heart and you shall cast,                  a reminder of a nicer day that's                    sure to come in a better way   This is a rewrite
