The Simple Things

THE SIMPLE THINGS Have you ever stopped to wonder how contented you could be, Enjoying just the simple things, life brings to you and me. Some people think that happiness depends on what you own, But will that be your hearts desire, when you are all alone. While others waste their precious time always on the run, They never hear the birds sing or see the rising sun. Don’t forget the simple things enjoyed by you and me, The charm and beauty spread around in everything we see. I sit and think about my life, what destiny can bring. If I had it all to do again, I would not change a thing  Maybe I would learn music and try to sing again, I’d practice way up in the bush so neighbors won’t complain. I’d watch the sunset peacefully as I sit and bide my time. Up here in Gods own country, Where the simple things are mine I'd not lose track of all my friends, the flowers and the bees, Because the very simple things are very often free. T Claydon     c
