Courage

Daring to move my hand toward uncharted territory, wondering what it will feel like, not knowing if I care what she thinks for every attempt to touch and be touched there exists a virtual index listing the wounds. Disturbingly comforted by my awkward endeavors, I am drawn by the scent which beckons, offering hope, for this is surely where I should go probing her mind, body and spirit, knowing that she'll accept or shun me and whatever happens, I will again survive.
