Silence

Snow falls gently, blanketing the earth The warmth of a fire, a silhouette by the hearth and silence abounds.... Curled in an easy chair, eyes intent upon the blaze As visions of the past dance, alive within the flames and silence abounds... Lost to distant memories, living in the past Echoes of what could have been that never come to pass and silence abounds... A voice cries out in longing, desperate to be heard but to a mind that's lost to dreaming only silence is heard and silence abounds...
