Promises and Humaness

In life we are our promises  taken or broken-- consummated or abandoned. We are our vows silent or publicly taken. By these  we're bound-- in circumstances sacred-- to ourselves and others; solemn expectations lent. Uncertainties, whimsy twinged hopes, polished future visions gleaned gift wrapped intricacies-- the human heart's mysteries now enshrined come alive in eyes blinked, words spoken; vows taken. We say  "I love you" in the garden. We promise and co-promise. We vow duty bound. We redraw our very soul's etchings-- and rainbow it's wrappings. Precious moments now ribboned up  fortified by vows and statements from Beings fire-pit we dance with nothingness-- the legacy by which we separate ourselves from cold physics-- which makes no such  vows or promises; in this capacity our Humaness.
