Berets, Baguettes and Thoreau

Catching my attention, you, in your gray beret,  pencil-tucked ear and "Walden" among the journal and baguette beside you. I, in frayed denim jeans and peasant  blouse, complete  with well-worn clogs, sipping cappuccino meet your glance, smiling as eyes join.  Conversing for hours, sharing our penchant for humbler living, we end with a pledge to connect again, and the words, Simplify, Simplify echo as I amble towards my modest  tree-lined home in my well-worn clogs.
