Stepping Up to Heaven

I perch on the steps of heaven, slide down a few. Hop on one foot, two skip up four. Dance the polka, waltz 1-2-3. Try to do a handstand,  fall splat on my knees. I sit down on the steps of heaven. Make faces at my reflection in the mirrored surface there. Try snapping fingers, whistle to "swing low sweet chariot" stop to retie my nonexistent shoes. I pull out a yo-yo, make the cradle rock. Wonder if cartwheels are advisable, decide would work better  going down instead of up. Juggling on the steps  might be easier. I feel light on my feet, twirl up a step, a ballerina up on her toes. Twirl and juggle, spin A whirlwind ascends  the steps of heaven. Here I am, Lord!  See me spring up this last step! Hey! I'm knocking May this jester  please come in?
