Wedding Plans Plan not only for your wedding day Filled with tuxes and gowns and dainty bouquets Focus not only on the time and the place Or whether the tables are covered in lace The day of your wedding is special indeed But in truth you are merely Just planting a seed For each day thereafter will mean so much more As times builds a marriage that’s strong to the core So, share in the planning and make this day grand As you prepare for a life time To walk hand in hand In each other find purely The love that you need As together you pledge To nurture the seed |
Additional Notes:
To my best friend, Dawn who is getting married in May. I have not actually given this to her yet because we have been soooo crazy planning all the details of the wedding. I wanted to get the opinions of TPL members first, I am wondering if this may somehow make her defensive because the "wedding plans" are her top priority right now and I do not want her to think that I am trying to 'down play' her big day. What do you all think? I just wanted to let her know that it's okay if everything isn't perfect...in the end they'll be together. :)
Also, am I being contradictory in saying not to focus only on the wedding day but then later saying "So, share in the planning and make this day grand." ? If it seems contradictory to you....suggestions are extremely welcome. :)
