January Lynne

There she goes with a grocery bag slung over her shoulder. It’s filled with her treasures, hairbrush, panties, hair clip. Going to spend the night with her friend. My daughter, her ponytail swings back and forth, as if she’s doing it on purpose. She’s not, she walks like her Dad. Was it last week or last year that  she was potty-trained? Was it yesterday she explained  cooperation to me? And when did she ask her friend,  “Who would you pick for your best friend, God or Jesus?” Is she my baby or is she already grown? I don’t know.   It changes from day to day. One thing I do know for sure, when she is my age,  she’ll still be carrying a grocery bag.
