Foreshadowing

I am a shadowy figure Most times in the background Sometimes in the dark. I am an elder pushed back. Pushed away. Aside. (Who are you with one foot in the grave?). The coffin stands ready to close. I am your Grandfather (who only wants to give the gift of love). I am the one who will always be there for you. Through thick and thin. Surrogate. Do not worry my little ones. When your father drops his armor; I’ll be there!
