Testing Me Again

Dark clouds pass over on a  mysteriously cold winter night, as I tripped over myself again and fell down into a deep dry well Heaven please help I think I'm in hell again. If God would just throw down a rope I'd hang on, sweating struggling with my all and suffer the abrasions as  I pull myself out of despair One hand, another, alone, aching to reach the top of this pit. Time is endless here - sighs echo around me as I climb up, looking back  watching pieces of my life fall below  not hearing them land or  bounce off the ground Why isn't there any sound? Can't startle myself awake from this maddening dream Wanting to shake off this nightmare and gently fall back to sleep but my eyes are open From the bottom of my stomach venomous acid like poison rises up the pure reality of non-existant instant solutions and this is no dream This is my life and all mine to keep  living.
