Disallusionment

How could we explain what happens, when love and hate collide. Two strangers on a quest for love, two hearts sent for a ride. Is it easier to move on, if I say I hate you madly. How ironic does it get, could I say I love you sadly. Is this infinite confusion, a part of something better. Should have read between the lines, when I read your Dear John letter. The knot in my stomach was right, should have ended it that night. Who cares who hurts the most, it's just another ghost, to lock inside the closet with the skeletons of our past. Too much to disallusion now, the truth is raring fast. As much of this was funny, the tears come just the same. As much of this was love, the end was filled with shame.
