My Man

Do you search for his smile in moonlight's bliss, under nights gaze do you taste his kiss? Does the seducer charm your guarded heart, enticing love hidden in the solace of dark?                                                                                                            Does his love interrupt your thoughts when time has no room in sight? Does he linger in the recesses of your mind, while the day's hours consume your life? Does he share his heartache, has he retrieved his soul? Has life's injustice made him gallant or a caddish rogue? Do you give him your tears and reveal secrets untold, pry the entangled grasp of fear,  from his breath taking hold? Does his love cry out waiting to be born, filling craggy emptiness old and worn? Do you practice writing his name next to yours,  imagine holding hands, a hundred years or more? Through life's often missing or torn page,  questions to worrisome ponderings often wait, for wise eyes to see answers, for the sounds of thought, for the hand to touch secrets long ago lost.  My Man is a shadow that follows my steps, his love an urging with no fear or regrets. A story traces it's fingers on his handsome face, and chips of Citron guide the journey's embrace.
