A Blink Away From Loneliness

It's that old familiar feeling again, funny how it never really goes away. The loneliness in the back of my head, the emptiness in the middle of my heart. As honest as I was to you, my silence still held back the truth. Of another vision of pure beauty, another chance to be less lonely. As passion slips through your hands, I apologize for not stopping to stand. Too much smoke to see the love, no more sun from the sky above. This dissipation is breaking me down, another tear to help me to drown. When that old feeling comes around again, I'll smile and weep at the loss of a friend. As sad as you often claimed to be, as mad as they all said I'd be. It's funny how things never last, it's the greatest love that ends so fast. Just a blink away from loneliness, the love I felt for both of us. Your beauty, my silence, it all seemed fine; I had the patience but not the time. I'll find a way to feel the trust, just a blink away from loneliness.
