Icon Eyes Down through the years Your lens looks out for us. We are all weary lambs And the light leads us home. To forgo this feigned indifference Full circle in the fold And find ourselves in yourself The heart’s infant embrace. All of our lives Are in your eyes And all our lives We’ve been climbing up for love. Love to stop this ceaseless clamour When weeping becomes sleep A silent prayer; your smiling face Hands held out in a bower. |
