The Legend

There`s a legend they say It goes this way You came to me in the dark of night Sitting on the beach in the cold moonlight As I walked by You raised your hand to your head I saw the glint of blue steel Against the blackened sky I questioned you as to why? All you could do is cry Said you were hurt and lonely And was ready to give up your life I grabbed for the gun It`s cold blue steel stung my hand As you screamed The sound of thunder The crashing of the ocean waves The howling of the wind through the sand In an instant It was over You will live to see another day I will live to tell the tale and to say That I will never forget The cold moonlit night on the beach Where I walked Out of a dream
