"DO NOT ENTER"

Old, weather beaten "DO NOT ENTER", sign hangs crooked on the front door. Significant of once, what was is no more. This kiss of freedom leaves an empty crack, for someone to jump over without needing selfishly to look back.  Stagnant air looms in dark corners of the house. Stiffling blankets of change choke the heart, null and void, all feels strange. Reaching out to push tons of cobwebs out  of the way, with tiring energy draining optimistic plans everyday. Cowards' acceptance, a rational choice - no other option at hand, time has proven they don't miss your voice. Ignorance of the young, cannot measure up to  good judgement on the scales of justice in life, Giving them breath was your sacrifice. Mother,on your own now - respect yourself, pretend if for only for today - you never heard either of them when they used to say "I love you", Mom. So orphan, time to sit still  and smile - for continuing wishing for their love won't make any of the life you have left worth your while.
