Additional Notes:
The Devil’s Ballet d’Action with Cardinal Law In an act denied, he did the Devil, Dancing but the better choice in revel, Poised as portly partner pirouetting Round demonic lie; then paused, regretting. Where was Cardinal Law? No scream? They hollered! Harm, you caused, more so than penguins, collared, To the children raped on blazing bedding Blued in hazing hues awash on threading. Why were these men, many, bronzed, to languish On a linen stained through angel’s anguish? In thy eyes’ debris, chilled, lies the answer – Hidden, empty guilt due cleric’s cancer. Wrought in winged apostle’s church, degraded, And burlesqued in ancient image, faded, A despair arises, viewing jester Swirl around, as lies, proclaimed, still fester. Jesus Christ forewarned their fate, as mystic, At the least, condemning acts, sadistic, Loading millstones carved in limestone, marbled Fine on collared necks with voices, garbled. Pope John Paul, what manner of seer are thee? I was made a man, as thee, divinely… I, as well, know Godly paths to travel, That divide and fork while lives unravel. Long ago, on an embedded eon, When no time existed, absent Demon, God, at once, emerged from loving kindness And beheld the void in spite of darkness. Once beheld, He knew, and, being, acted; Angels, first, before the world, distracted, Made in airy ethos, at beginning, As companions through the silence, spinning. Then, came challenge, bold, from friendships, forceful – Mindful, they, of actions, not remorseful; Thus began the Plan, Divine, to battle Satan’s forces with agape’s rattle. By a tinctured process, pinched and seasoned, With schematic insight, wisely reasoned, God created “Bang!” in thought’s perfection, Curling time ahead in deep reflection. Now, with judgement, nigh, amidst our writhing, Comes a comic figure, seeking tithing, In the name of Jesus, lying lonely; Cardinal Law, one question, “Present, only?” copyright Robert Tremblay @ 2002
