Short Circuited

Instant messages that go astray Inciting trouble along the way Like no attention I am paying I might as well be off somewhere playing Can I help it what I miss And that it causes you to hiss When your words are gliding And my thoughts are all colliding  It’s not on purpose I confuse Trust me there’s so much to lose I’m not amused when you frown Why do you think I squirm around No comfort here when I mess up There’s nothing to do but just fess up It’s clear to one of us you see And that often really isn’t me So if you think I missed your words You might be right about two-thirds How am I to really know A message that my brain did blow Now I miss other’s words too I’m not just picking on dear old you But if it makes you all the better I could write you an apology letter I’d make it grand oh yes I would And point out all you think I should And you could refer to it as often as needed Then each time my pardon would be pleaded
