(Musical) Notes of the day Sounds of night’s silence as the brook beneath my window gurgles its way downstream. The morning’s rush of air slips into my room awakening me along with the cacophony of caws from ravens seeking their morning meal. A triumphant blast of horns and bells finally awakens me from my reverie as Beethoven’s Ninth perfuse from CBC along with the tinkle of china at morning breakfast. The dog barks, the cat meows letting us know that they too have awoken Suddenly a blast of air horn signals “Get out of my way” from the truck rumbling by. Such are the sounds of morning Dawning. Music to my ears signaling that yes, I am alive and well, as I sing out, “Oh What a Beautiful Morning.” |
