A Gentle Tapping

Just a gentle tapping on one's shoulder In a life so filled with busyness Had it then seemed urgent, bolder, Might I have ignored it less Floundering yet in that high sea Of self-made crises and abuses, Content to drown or simply be Hapless victim of vagary's excuses. Headlong hurl through time and space And life has reached its final season. Here hovering at its interface Somewhere between soul's truth, mind's reason, Would that I could stumble back; recover There in clouded mem'ries long departed My hesitant heart released from doubt; discover That first moment a gentle tapping started.

Additional Notes:
Wondered about punctuation on this one and also title. Tried to choose between "A Gentle Tapping" and "Hesitant Heart"--any comments appreciated....drenda
