FROM THE ASHES

For months he has been awakened from the midst of slumber by mournful memories which fringe the edges  of sanity taunting him ever so invitingly to come join their outer circle, 'Give in to the pain' 'Let hatred reign' 'Let bitterness sign your name' His will to survive was weakening as the Way Out kept waving her icy fingers ever reaching for his soul, as a seductress would dance for her victim But this night was different Rage began to replace hurt His heart seemed to slam back into his chest as if to take its rightful place as the Master of this domain He sat for hours gathering memories Stacking them, as one would a pile of rubbish With one fell swoop of determination his soul emptied the trash, torched the remains  He had a holocaust of his own... GONE THE END The sun comes up DAWN A new beginning

Additional Notes:
scroll down...don't stop at 'the end'.....I just want you guys to know, I'm not REALLY, REALLY excited about this poem, I mean, just because it's my first ever that doesn't rhyme, it's not like I'm JUMPING UP AND DOWN or anything, so please, feel free to tear it apart!!!(Just kidding, I need to learn it right from the beginning RIGHT??) Have a heyday, I think I will do this more often, it was fun.
