Duckie Chit Chat

Peering out the window of my kitchen sink,   with all my thoughts so customary on the blink.   My eyes now cannot believe what they see.    As three undomesticated ducks waddle toward me.  All in a line, quacking and headed for my door,   suddenly I realize what they are coming for. So I scurry to the fridge to get some bread.  They must be ravenous and need to be fed. So amusing as their yellow feet bustle around Grabbing the bread as I toss it on the ground.   I love the noisy continuous quaking   like  ducky chitchat, their endless yakking. Because they make me cheerful and jolly I christen them Drake, Donald and Molly.  For a month or so they will come every day. Then to my anguish they just stay away. So I pray and look forward to next spring  When God will repeat this miraculous thing.
