The evening comes most time softly

The evening comes most time softly uninvited yet welcomed by some Though not unexpected dusk is not wanted the day had too many things left undone The room is quiet and the air stilled a long dark sofa occupies the wall A figure rests for one more thought then knows its time to answer the call Windows frame the fingering shadows that bathe and soothe the lingering light Witnesses silently gather in the parlor with open eyes passing the day to night The evening comes most time softly but should not always have its way Disturb the dusk with a stance for morning and desires that can only live with day Kirabo
