lap one time I sat hands in my lap eyes on the cat there teaching me love up and in I look to know when and where worm and seed tree and rook down and in I took the cat follows only stopping to address all that hair the example of calm licking my palm from above then to sleep, perhaps another lap |

This poem is for my inherited cat, Sam. This cat is astonishing in her abilty to love. There is more to this than I can tell.
