BUFFOONERY White and flowing, billowy Face cast off by crinoline veil Face underneath glowing Pretty as a picture NOT! No, no veil No crinoline Face glowing – YES Pretty as a picture – YES But wait! What’s this? What’s that on your face? A big red nose? And heavy make – up! Who is that in a black gown? A what? A preacher man? Hey what’s going on? And who is that opposite? Some guy with a big red nose also. And hobo beard, and a doctor’s coat His shoes are huge! Big and red. Clowns you say? Getting married you say? Nah! They’re just clowning around! But it’s all too real… There are a few hundred clowns around Watching How hilarious. Do you Moni take this man to be your husband? Do you Arnie take this woman to be your wife? I do. I do. Then bump noses and kiss, And I pronounce you clown and clownette… No, I mean husband and wife And may all your balloons be unbroken. And that’s how it happened children, And they lived happily ever after. |
