Summer's Here and School is Out!

Summer’s here and school is out! Can’t you hear the joyous shouts? Gather your friends and play some ball Or hang out at the local mall. No bus to catch around the block. No waking to the loud alarm clock.  Summer days are filled with freedom And always come just when you need ‘em. Flip-flops and cut-offs the standard attire And the suntanned shoulders you’re soon to acquire. Take trips to the lake, to fish or go swimmin’ Or earn a few bucks when the yard needs a trimmin’. Camp out in a tent and spy falling stars Or browse the museum to check out Renoirs. Read a good book or write your own story And watch fireworks as you honor Old Glory. Summer’s here and school is out! Can’t you hear the joyous shouts? Create some memories to tell when you’re grown To those summer-crazed young ones you’ll have of your own.
