There's Something Perfect

There's something perfect in a rose--- I don't know what it is. Perhaps the way the color glows As if it's lit within. Could be the way the petals curl Around in tight-wound buds That in the summer sun unfurl Their ruffly flower clouds. Or maybe it's the fragrant scent That stirs up memories Of childhood days and hours spent So pleasantly carefree. Whatever's perfect in a rose, It feeds my soul within. And one thing certain I do know--- The credit all is His.
