The Victor

Longing bursts the seeds of hunger Sown in the nucleus within... a belly inherently insatiable Premeditating; always the preditor The coveter fells the vulnerable, calculating unconscionable ransom Yet time is often the victor... Morphed in humility, waiting Deceived then lead astray The prey, paralyzed in darkness Grasping; a life held at bay Till longing bursts the seeds of hunger Sown in the mind of the betrayed A heart perforated yet still beating Climbs from the depths to be saved
