Poems With No Beginning, Sonnets With No End

The last line would have been, "She left me at the well," but, since there was no beginning, how, then, could anything end? A stanza occurred to me. It went like this:                 Why, only yesterday the message came                                    And shook me from my usual malaise.                                    It said, "Please, no more calls. I've gone insane."                                    It ended with no further words of praise. Now, clearly, those lines do not speak a starting phrase. More likely something central, surrounded by other words. So, with no clear onset and no avenue to end, what then? A stanza occurred to me. It went like this:                 It isn't wise to try and tempt the trees.                                    They bow to no one other than the wind.                                    Since I can't raise my voice above a breeze,                                    A promise made is easy to rescind. As yet, no starting point nor one to end this madness held within vague messages. A stanza occurred to me. It went like this:                 I've thought and thought again, why would you send                                    A message with no clarified intent?                                    Then, quite abruptly, did my mind amend;                                    It wasn't what you said but what you meant. Can anyone sum up in just two lines the total of their thought? Now and then a couplet will suffice:                      Some words were born to simply break a spell.                                    (Dare I say, "She left me at the well?")
