japanese verse 1 to 20 – First Collection

“Dragonfly” 1.  Dragon with no fire      Just gentle flames ‘round the skin      Coloring the Earth “Mountain” 2.  Clouds dancing with joy      As mist silently awakes      The sleeping giant “Sunflowers” 3.  Yellow umbrellas      Openly wait for the sky      To sprinkle its gems “Full Moon” 4.  Majestic marble      Quietly bares its beauty      Tempting the still night “Old Bridge” 5.  When I was a child      You were my landmark when lost      Cradled me back home “Black Widow” 6.  A widow in grief      A widow in deep waiting      A widow of death “Lightning” 7.  Author of this world      His signature is written      Over midnight sky “Swans” 8.  As the ball opens      With waltz of Danube river      Imperials dance “Waterfalls” 9.  Watery stairway      Drips its refreshing coolness      In playful rhythm “Kite” 10. You give me freedom       To soar my wings high above       Yet you hold my cord “Butterfly” 11. Garden plates offer        A banquet of thanksgiving       Deity is pleased “Star” 12. Faraway lighthouse       In the mammoth of shadows       Searching lost angels “Volcano”
. From a long slumber       The monster wakes with hiccups       Of firework display “Owl” 14. Guardian of night        In hood and cape of wisdom       Stares with piercing eyes “Sea” 15. When great Columbus       Sailed beyond the horizon       World was discovered “Dusk” 16. Night as passerby        Leaving its deep blue sadness       Grows in mystery “Fireflies” 17. Such tiny lanterns       Playfully twinkle the eve       With sweet inferno “Piano” (by Hermie Espino) 18. Ten running fingers       Crossing the ivory bridge       In melodic steps “Trees” 19. Witness the pillars       Nature has proudly fostered       Sturdy through the years “Cocoon” 20. Unspoken beauty         Inside the capsule of time       Cries in great splendor
