"I"

The sun kisses my face as the wind caresses my hair I pose horizontal on the patio lounge and my eyes slowly give in to temptation To all who view my container I appear encased in slumber yet my curiosity is busily searching for the "I" that resides in the tomb called my 'inner self' I visit my sub-conscious, the camera that records the incidents in my life that "I" choose to forget Next is my heart, where I touch the cracked and crumbling wall of pain caused by death, divorce, and other events of the outer world that "I" caused myself Lest I forget, I make haste to my mind, the gray area "I" can never make-up and sometimes swear has been lost Finally my journey ends at my soul where goodness flows freely I am surrounded by wonders humor, kindness, forgiveness and love in this casket of grace I am enlightened for though these are only facets that create my essence this is where I choose my "I"dentity
