Reflections

Spiral galaxies burn in far space flinging fire through time to be reflected in a children’s pool in summertime, and brighten daisy faces in the August field. July moon hangs orange in the night reflected in the quiet lake’s surface bisected by canoe and paddle’s passage torn, to reform again, a wet phoenix. A doe peers nervously into the pond reflecting the fearfulness of prey and the beauty of gentleness in brown. She starts at waving feathers of grass underwater. Your eyes s gaze gently into mine brown as the doe’s, soft and deeply loving. My love for you glows so brightly it’s reflected back to light the stars.
