Walking The Line

I thought about uniqueness When I heard that John was gone                                                          I thought about my father too Another towering one   I thought about their aging And how their bodies failed   I thought about their agelessness And spirits that prevailed   I thought about complexities Dichotomies of men   I thought about how we’ll not see The likes of them again
