Heartbroken A book of empty promises A trail of broken hearts An ocean full of memories That rips the soul apart A mountain made of pain That one cannot get past A valley lined with misery Where the heartbroken are cast A meadow full of flowers Wilted, withered, dead A heart that's void of love Despite all that had been said Even though the sun may shine And all the birds may sing The sky is filled with dread Of what tomorrow brings |
