Scratching My cat meowed And scratched the door Crying for his breakfast Sleepy and Annoyed I left him for an hour He did not curse When I let him in Nor spitefully turn his nose Just grateful For his bowl of food God-like I presented And so I meow At God’s door A stray in from the ally If I scratch Will it annoy him?
