Jimmy McGuire

JIMMY  McGUIRE. These cowboy boots were never made to measure, They just molded into his way of life. With the bolas and the chapps he wears at show time And the buck jump shows he follows day and night. The Rodeo Circuit’s a big one to catch, You watch all the horses at work. It’s only ten seconds till you meet your match, And your head pounds into the dirt. "Is it worth it," his brother will ask him, "Are you alright", his sister will say. "I’ve never felt better", he'll answer right back, He would have it just no other way. The call of the Rodeo’s with him, His mother explained it to us. He was riding before he was walking, And can’t understand all the fuss. Mt Isa’s a town he could go to, And ride all the rough ones that come. And Broome, in the West is another, I admit, they are too rough for some. But I reckon that Jimmy could ride them,  Along with old Chainsaw, esquire. Because there was never a rider, AS GOOD AS OLD JIMMY McGUIRE.
