On Leaving The Lake

The day was like many others at the lake skies blue, clouds white and wispy while in the distance came the hum of a speeding motorboat. A blue heron flew along the shore searching for a good place to fish. Out on the lake the loons gathered in a large social group, hunting together. The crisp air of autumn had called the convocation. The loons, having raised their chicks to an independent state were now focused on preparing to migrate. The open northern seas were calling. Soon they would exchange their dramatic black and white spotted coats for winter gray until they matched the slate of the sea.. I watched them dive out on the lake and knew that I too would soon change my summer coat of ease and relaxation for winter clothes of work and family duty. As the loons rose into the sky  and flew in ever enlarging circles I sighed with regret and started home,  leaving lake's peace, and a piece of my heart.

I could really use some suggestions on the title
