Another Election Year

It’s fun to match wits With my “smart” brother We’re at odds politically   (I blame his wife, God knows he never  Used to be like this!)   It’s satisfying to realize His seven years on me Don’t matter anymore I like to think I surprise him   He’s the oldest Always on the “A” list And too far beyond  To even compete with   Now we send emails Espousing our views Probing for mistakes And firing zingers back   We try to keep  The name-calling  To a minimum   After all, We are mature  Middle-aged men
