Today

a dingy sun  the color of bad teeth shines from a pale sick sky  begging for a cloud  in a world longing for the stained dawn of a perfect yesterday  and hiding shame-faced  from the shiny truths  tomorrow must bring  of the fears grown fat  with apathy and acceptance  dragging on the feet of the wearied traveler  like the dirty heat  that oozes from above
