Shadows Beneath the leaf darkness came. It appeared as soon as the sun arose. A copy and obscurity of light that was evasively alive. When the wind whispered of its arrival the twin mimicked every movement. Fluttering ever so softly two were sharing the actions of one. The shadow moved subtly across the ground. Barely to be recognized unless your sheltered below the foliage and sun's brightness found your eye. Shadows position is escorting their always loftier companion. Allegiance without question, loyalty holds to those of more substance. Shadings, existing; but not reflecting on what is visible but not. Ghostly darkness, omens of all that we can't know or don't want to see. |
