Nightmare's Gone

I crawl into bed all alone once again That's when the nightmares begin Arms flailing, Tossing and turning Stomach churning, a slow burning Reliving a past blow without warning Legs tangled up in my nightgown cloth As tight as a little cocooned moth Into the comfort of someone's arms sought Awakening to the soothing words brought In these sweet arms I will fear naught As her small hands take hold of mine My daughter says, "Mommy it's ok now" Nightmares are gone until another time Most likely to return with the next sundown But I know I'll make it until morning now

Additional Notes:
I wrote this one for my daughter, who always crawls in bed with me, holds me and takes my nightmares away :)
