Dawn From depths of darkness does it rise Stealing stars from midnight skies Invisible the lidless eye In silent judgment does espy The weary and the wicked woes The sorrows, sins, the secret shows Enveloped in its knowing glow Confessions, revelations flow Silent beauty screamed aloud Cloaked in scarlet-auburn shroud Once defiant heads now bowed The lowly lifted, the prideful cowed Illuminated hope reborn Ball-and-chain, shackles shorn From treachery and terror torn The liberating wrath of morn |
