The Latest

I told her a secret.  She assured me  that she'd never tell another.  But she told him.  He mentioned it to his friend. Then his friend told his people. His people told others. They in turn told theirs.  Theirs told theirs.  The news traveled like a fast fire.  Someone later informed me! I was appalled! I learned a most valuable lesson. To keep my mouth shut! To tell no one anything  that couldn't be repeated. To keep my own council so this will not happen again. Unbelievable, the unconceivable! I'm mortified to say the very least. Can you believe she'd do that to me?
