Do we all have a magnetic strip?

Is memory from without or within? This mass of pseudo white with its undulating curves  and valleys Faster than a speeding bullet Faster than a high tech computer As I cut into its fleshy rubbery mass I wondered Whose it was There was nothing there I mean – what fed it I couldn’t help wondering Genius or stupid? Lover or a-moral? Mother, father, brother Like what was I holding? My scalpel at the ready I sliced into it I had to memorize the parts Identify and conquer Hippocampus, corpus callosum It went on and on Strange names Why couldn’t they be English? Okay, one more slice Identify and conquer And then back into the brine so some other student can imagine And identify, and conquer Ah those days were long ago Today it’s hard enough to remember what day of the week it is!
