Growing Season

The soil in this significant parcel of land is full  of the deep rich compost yielded from the gene pools of my family tree. I'm continuously in the process of creating  fertile receptive ground, which I will tend and develop  into my wonderful garden patch. I'm the stimulus, the yeoman of my land, and the bumpkin of my soul. I plow the dirt in the cultivation of self-knowing and  then work even harder tilling for self-acceptance.   My patience is wrought with anxiety in the preparations  for my crops. I specifically choose each seed to sow,  plant and grow in my open-air bed. Spending my attention  on the attributes of each plant that I wish to propagate.  Enough sun, shade, and water? Does one crowd another?  Pruning warranted? Am I overly ambitious in my goal?  Am I ready to begin or wait and plant another time? How do  I handle the weeds?  I'm attempting to use great care and  conscious choice. Only then after discipline and decision can I finally tame the soil and nurture my plantings as required.  The rain fills the cup of those that need in the prospering of the seed. And warmness of the sun draws all living things towards the light.  Continually in the process of growth and maintenance, I experience  the season’s… birth, youth, maturity, reproduction, and agedness.  Opening to change has been the most difficult of all the task  and yet the most necessary ingredient required for the miracle  of my own blossoming. My bounty is reaping all that  I have sown in the living nursery of my garden-ness.  May I be ripe for learning and growth till I am no more.
