i cried for you today for the very first time i think it finally hit me that you had left  left forever and you were never coming back that all those moments you and i shared alone- alone together when there was only your words my thoughts and endless miles and days ahead now only dusty memories in the attic of my mind oft-forgotten piles in corners covered in sheets  once beloved treasures long neglected as i grew but over time is more the truth for at this moment standing in your memory looking back at our life i'm just a boy again  a boy crying alone  learning about loss for the first time at the end of innocence
