DENIAL

I know she cares,  I really do. Her loves for real, I know it’s true. But every night I think of my past, And how my love always came up last. She said she loved me, she said she card, But those were lies, I know she was scared. She’s only 17 to young to commit, But why did she drag me into this pit. And when I kiss her lips, I fade away to a fantasyland where I’d like to stay. But when only thoughts of her exist, My anger surfaces and hatred twists. It must be obsession, I’ve done the same, The cheating, lying, cause of pain. I guess my trust she threw away, To the darkest pits to eternally stay. In ways I wish we’d never met, So I wouldn’t have been dragged into this pit. I love her, I know she cares.
